The last MTV award show I really enjoyed was 2002 when Justin debuted solo for the first time... he did "Like I Love You".

I feel you Cin. I appreciated '03 a bit as well but they have all failed to hold my attention since then.

okay grandma! lol lol

Oh, I'm no prude. Timbaland's body is not as tight as he obviously thinks it is. He looked a chubby mess in that tank top and jeans, thinking he's cut up like LL. lol

This show had some good moments, but as a whole it was laughable with Britney setting the tone from the beginning lol

You know it must have been a joke when Rihanna was one of the few people truly singing lol

OK, now that's it's over, I can say that this may have been truly the worst VMA's telecast ever. That's not to say that all the performances were bad; Alicia Keys, Kanye West and Linkin Park were pretty good, but it seems like the best performances (Mark Ronson, Maroon 5, Foo Fighters) were all cut off for promos and commercials. mad I'm sure that MTV will post all of the uncut performances on their website, but the home viewers got hosed. BTW, I wonder if the main reason that MTV cut off so many performances was because they didn't want people posting these clips on YouTube (since MTV's parent Viacom has a billion dollar lawsuit going against Google).

Perfect assessment, but I think they cut off many performances because they weren't the "A Stage" items, and probably weren't timed up precisely with their schedule (most songs were in-progress).

What a mess! This thread was the most entertaining part lol

This show was pretty boring overall. I really enjoyed Chris Browns performance the best, and I would have loved Alicia's if her voice wasn't so shaky in the beginning. I've been a fan for a while and I've never known her voice to shake.

Another thing about Alicia is that she has incredible energy, but she limits herself with her songs. They are all slow and boring when she has potential to be a much more energetic performer.
