Chic (it was always just Nile and Bernard to me)
McFadden & Whitehead (look at A&S)
James Brown & Bobby Byrd (ok not an official duo but I loved their call and responses to each other. music )
Ruffin & Kendrick (the "voices" of the Temptations lol look at James & Bobby's description)

How long they been here? I thought you had to have 15-20 years of success to be considered among the greatest? I've only known Maroon 5 for the last four years, lol.

Considering part of their sound came from the Jacksons, that is an odd choice but hey it's your choice. wink

I also say these groups are some of the greatest:
The Gap Band
P-Funk
The 1970s Supremes
The Neville Brothers (in terms of both separate and group success)
New Edition (same as the Nevilles)
The Bar-Kays
