Got those huge reverby drum pads or whatever they are. Reminds me of "electric chair" by Prince. Its not bad actually, but I would say that. Very derivitive, but I live off this stuff!

Sorta song new kids on the block would do. Take that how you will.

1989. I was surprised by that too. The synth stabs or programming is more akin to late 80's though.

89 hey, a wee bit out of date for that year, but the beat does sound sampled from Todays 1988 hit "Him or me" its a funky little song though, that last golden age before everything was rail roaded by rap. cool

The Jets were from MPLS and Prince and Sheila attended some of there shows. I remember reading somewhere that 'Curiosity' was Prince's favorite song by them.

I'm originally from Phoenix,AZ and in the mid 90's...the Jets set up shop at a club called Jetz N Styx...and they had a residency there. They were a really tight band live and it was fun to go see them.

some of their biggest hits:

Crush on You (1986)
Curiosity (1986)
You Got It All (1986)
Cross My Broken Heart (1988)
Make It Real (1988)
Rocket 2 U (1988)

I knew they looked a light skinned to be black. I actually thought they were a group of Maoris like me, because of music was popular in New Zealand at the time. Any world music buffs heard of a new zealand group called Fan Club from the late 80s, now they sounded like the Jets. It was fronted by Maori, Island and Asian members.
