Mick Jagger, George Clinton, Ja Rule (or rap), James Brown,Britney Spears, Rod Stewart too many to mention. Alot of their voices have made them famous though.

I don't discriminate - live or recorded, Smelly Farturdo's vocals have that effect on me.

I don't discriminate - live or recorded, Smelly Farturdo's vocals have that effect on me. she just sounds like generic-pop-girl-singer on studio recordings so i can take her or leave her. i just look at it as the producer being the real artist and the singer being a puppet, since the voices are cleansed, folded and manipulated past recognition anyway. live, though...MAN...she sounds like a 5 year old throwing a tantrum when she tries to belt one out.

Mostly to me, she sounds like she's pinching her nose shut when she sings.

I don’t hate her but never really got the appeal of Nelly Furtado. I'm Like A Bird was a nice song but when she sang it on one of the Divas Live shows I couldn’t understand how she was considered such a hot commodity let alone worthy of being on Divas. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I heartily disagree. Listening to Clapton try to sing the blues is like watching a porn actor try to do Shakespeare. He was good on the Unplugged album, but on his electric stuff, he leaves a LOT to be desired in terms of intensity and authority.

After he settled on FUNK as his MO, everything became a rhythm instrument (horns, keys, guitar) even his voice. But I don't have to tell you that. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 Good point! Word. "He's a musician's musician..."

Ashlee Simpson -- can't sing OR lip-synch worth a damn!
Mick Jagger -- at least he CAN shake his ass. also in the R&R HOF despite his flaws on vocals. Denise "Vanity" Matthews -- lets be real Prince-fans, a girl band like Vanity 6 aren't famous for their vocals to begin with. It's their sexy bodies & The Funk that Prince gave them! Ozzy Osbourne -- he's one of the heavy metal elders. And their vocals are NEVER great in the first place. Janis Joplin -- What the hell did some of your people in the 1960's see/hear in THAT woman to begin with?!? Akon -- Is he reggae/dancehall OR is he hip-hop/r&b? New Kids On The Block (excluding Jordan Knight & Joey McIntyre) -- Joe, Donnie, and Jonathan weren't that great on backing vocals in general. New Edition were better, but try telling that to all of the now grown-up women that use to be those screaming little girls that worship the ground NKOTB piss on! .....I'll post again if I think of anyone else.

That chick from The Divinyls sung like she had a head cold. "I touch buh-self, I touch buh-self!" I've hated Nelly ever since she came out, principally due to her insistence on singing with nasal cords. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! dylan and neil young have awesome voices
lou reed can also sing in his own way! His melodies are wnderful. I really don't get it when people say he can't sing. diana ross voice post production is ok but weak live hendrix can't sing, no matter how loveable he might be robbie williams is a miserable singer, and somewhere underneath all the humour, he really does take himself very seriously Mariah carey hits the notes butusually makes me want to vomit, is that what singin' is all about?
