From Luther himself, my favorite is the very funky "She's A Super Lady". Also, the following:
Never Too Much She Loves Me Back However, my favorite Luther Vandross is the work he did with Change on "Searchin'" and the production work he did for Aretha Franklin on "Jump To It" and "Get It Right". I also like his work with the BB&Q Band. See, I bet y'all had forgotten that Luther had a funky side since he is mainly known these days only for his boring songs of the late 1980s and 1990s. . . 'The Glow of Love' is a masterpiece in my opinion!!
Has any one else heard 'She's A Super Lady'? That has to be one of his most funky tracks with a killer bass line. Although I'm not sure he really meant to sing super 'Lady' judging on his preferences. Bless the old closet case anorexic!!! | |

I think I actually like the original better than Chaka's version I do!!!! also: Forever, For Always, For Love The Other Side Of The World Wait For Love Anyone Who Had a Heart Because It's Really Love Don't You Know That Make Me A Believer So Amazing Promise Me A House Is Not A Home If This World Were Mine (w/ Cheryl Lynn) Bad Boy/ Having A Party I Can Make It Better I also loved his vocals on guitarist David Spinozza's version of 'Superstar' and 'Doesn't She Know By Now', from back in 1978. He's credited as one of the background vocalists , but his voice just towers over the rest of 'em (David Lasley, Diva Gray, Jim Gilstrap, etc.)... ... 'Till My Baby comes Home was the first I ever heard by him, and I was instantly hooked. I love the off beat melody, and the chorus is huge.
I'd love to cover that song, maybe a rock & roll version. My Legacy
