Now that's a damn lie. Hammer did the same thing years ago with It's All Good & Pumps And A Bumps. These were 2 videos that debut on the same day. Yeah, many people have done it, in the rock/pop field too. On a side note, I watched this Beyonce premiere on BET so i had to sit through 20-25 minutes of 106th and Park, HOLY CRAP, first that girl that hosts, is annoying,dumb,ignorant,etc....I could feel my IQ dropping as i watched this show, and of course i had to sit through a couple of Videos on the countdown, WTF? oh god what has happend, RB and Rap are getting worse by the minute, can someone get an alternative channel to BET going! I personally like Shakira much better, especially when she was a rock star. 
I think Shakira is the most talented performer of this era. She rocks live! They trash her off as pop trash but I think it's amazing how she manages to mix middle eastern and latin elements in to her music and still make them nice and catchy.. And yes she can rock too.  that´s a lie! her double album is nothing but mediocre, that´s why she is trying these trash duos. [Edited 3/1/07 7:06am] Julieta is generally better on album, but I've seen them both live a few times and Shakira's shows have more pop naturally because she has bigger touring budgets. Julieta usually plays in really small clubs here in the U.S. I love when she pulls out the accordion. | |
