But Jimmy Page stole a girlfriend/groupie from Bowie back in the day, so you have to go. nod

And Roger Taylor admittted while inducting Zeppelin into the UK Hall of Fame this year, that Queen actually were very much influenced by Zeppelin. His exact words: "I know 'cause we nicked quite a bit from them." biggrin

Last round I picked the Bewlay Brothers, but with the elimination of two serious songs, I pick Kooks for this round.

Just wanted to ask how anyone could vote off a song with the line "He could be you, he's chameleon, comedian, corinthian and caricature". And the way he delivers that line is genius.

Oh, the heresy. "Kooks" needs to stay, as do the 2 Q songs. Hell, I'd vote "Changes" off before any of those. But that's not my vote.

Hey you started it. You're the one who always has to bring up Queen for some reason (like you did in this thread). lol I just continued where we always leave off. I was just trying to point out that even Queen's band members have great respect for Zeppelin. Brian May and Page are friends and both judge the Riffathon together each year. It is possible to like both bands and not compare. (I feel like a broken record now w/ you)

And I never said Page didn't steal anything. Never once. cool

FINE

not that it matters, because 'life on mars' will probably get voted off this round lol

but i'd vote off "andy warhol" - as much as i love andy, and as much as i SHOULD love a bowie song about andy, i've never liked this one much. i kinda like the weird sonic noodling that goes on, but the actual melody is yawnsville.

I can't believe you're so upset about "Eight Line Poem"!
