I'm partial to "Opposites Attract" and "Cold Hearted", but those other 2 just about round up the only Paula songs I still like. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

Knocked Out http://www.youtube.com/wa...IxomAK3fhk Straight Up http://www.youtube.com/wa...-isnW0rV1w You've changed your tune LOL. I did a thread on the album "forever your girl" ages ago and you blasted it. I like "i need you". Jesse Johnson musta been set up for lfe after that pay cheque. I always find it odd how a sex solo is used instead of a guitar one. The Oliver leiber cuts (son of leiber of Leiber and stoller fame) have St paul on them. And "state of attraction" is the other cut I play most

Good thing about Paula's "Forever your girl" is that its not trying to be like "control". The minni sound is not really present on that album. I read a reviewer saying "the way that you love me" is a jam/lewis ripoff, but I don't hear it. Iam pretty sure Oliver Leiber is from Minni though.

I said it was definitely ripping on Control, you said (natch) it wasn't.

Good song mind you.. | |

I still really like Straight Up. I remember thinking the first time I heard it on the radio that it had a different sound. There really was something unique about it (and I'm not talking about her voice ) that worked in its favor.

My go-to Paula song was always 'Cold Hearted', but I do have a soft spot for almost everything on her first album (save 'Next to You'). There is also some good shit on "Spellbound". Hell, I also really liked 'My Love is For Real' and 'Crazy Cool' from "Head Over Heels.
I used to like Paula lots back in Elementary/Middle School. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.
