i think justin watches a lot of old videotaped performances of his favorite performers, and i think he has a great skill for mimicry (which is nothing to sneeze at) - however, i don't think he has an original bone in his pretty little body.

I like justin. he's good. that performance was good...thought he remindes me of a lil birdie when he bobs around behind the piano like that. biggrin
not sure why it's "very prince like" only think Prince like was the purple lighting and the song had a guitar solo but...that's about it.
"not a fan" falloff yeah...ok

i guess it's supposed to be prince like because he's at the piano
and he throws a kinda hissy fit toward the end of the performance
a la prince doing The Beautiful Ones. lol.

man, i wish one of these kids today would get as freaky as prince
back in the day. you know. get down on top of the piano and hump,
bump and grind it whilst screaming like a fucking mental patient.

all topped off with some sexy sweaty rimmel/maybeline eyelashes biggrin

I'd say it's more Elton John than Prince.

I think Justin is on the verge of starting to become an individual. He's one of the few artists of today who actually play an instrument rather than let a computer sequence everything. I wouldn't call it a Prince like performance at all. You guys seem to act like Prince is Justin's only musical role model.

At least Britney gives you something to look at.

This is just like Elvis and The Sweet Inspirations or Sting with The Blue Turtles band (With a much lesser degree of talent.)

The Elvis Syndrome continues.

damn he sucks..
jordan knight from new kids has better talent than this kid...
i've seen better high school shows than this one.
he sure acts like he knows how to play piano but looked like he just pressing a few keys and that's it. obviously wants to look like a musician...lol..
give him a yr or two, we'll never see him again...

i guess i miss the prince-like stuff. shrug he just looks like a performer whose playing a piano and being dramatic about it in order to make it more entertaining. billy joel does it. elton john does it. tori amos does it. and, yes, prince does it.
