Is Prince tired of doing Purple Rain and Let's Go Crazy?

Shit! He's doing "Thriller"? Can Michael still sing that, I mean the range in that song is very high, can Michael still get up there? If not he can always lipsync, which (when it comes to Michael Jackson) is very probable. I thought for sure when they said he would be doing a tribute to the "Thriller" album that he would perform "Billie Jean". Oh well, it's just nice to now he's getting back into music and performing.

Jackson Plans 'Thriller' Performance
The Associated Press
Wednesday, November 8, 2006; 10:16 AM

LONDON -- Michael Jackson will perform "Thriller" from his famed 1982 album in a rare public appearance at the World Music Awards next week, organizers said Wednesday.

The 48-year-old reclusive pop star will receive a Diamond Award, given to artists who sell more than 100 million albums, at the Nov. 15 ceremony in London.

Jackson has spent time in Bahrain and Ireland since he was acquitted of child molestation charges in June 2005, making few public appearances.

"Thriller" won eight Grammy Awards and became one of the best-sellers of all time, selling over 50 million copies. Along with the title track, the album includes "Billie Jean" and "Beat It."

Jackson last performed in Britain in 1997.

Monaco hosted the World Music Awards for 15 years before the event moved to the United States in 2004 and 2005.

Lindsay Lohan is scheduled to host this year's event at Earls Court Arena with performances by Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Katie Melua and Andrea Bocelli.

Previous recipients of the Diamond Award include Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey and Celine Dion. The annual show business awards select winners based on the strength of their worldwide record sales.

I hope it’s a souped up new millennium version. I can’t bare him to do the same album version and if he wears the mask like he did in the concert or does that disappearing act… oh, woe is me.

Seems he was inspired by Prince and Beyonce a few years ago.

Wouldn't it be NICE if he would rearrange the song and do something a bit different?

Even worse, apparently it is a lie and the uber-shit We Are The World is on the cards.
