Music Jeopardy(Continued)

ok gang.for those who didn't see my other post that's ok.

on the suggestion made by TheAudience i'm keeping it going.

the category this time is James Brown and it's a 2-parter.

here's the first part:

the song "monorail" has been widely use in Rap & Hip-Hop.

name 3 of the rappers /or groups that have used this sample and the song in which they used it.(i know of 3 but there may be more)

part 2:

Madonna also used a James Brown sample on the hip-hop mix of Justify My Love.

name the song from which she sampled.

have fun. biggrin

My favorite use of the Monorail sample is EPMD's "Let The Funk Flow". L.E.S. of Trackmasters rocked the same loop for "Nastradamus" (by Nas).

A weaker use of the sample appears on "Show And Prove" by Sweet Tee, during the break between verses.

I don't know if you guys have heard this song, but my second favorite use of the Monorail sample is "A Real Mutha For Ya" by Cash Money and Marvelous. Hahah that song also has a little Prince interpolation:

Ladies in the place
Throw ya hands up
"Hot Thaaang"
Shake ya big butt

...I'll be back to answer part 2 soon as I find that old maxi-single to refresh my memory. lol

Hey CinisterCee! hug..two out of three ain't bad.you even gave me one(no, make that TWO) i didn't know wink

the third answer i had in mind for monorail was by Compton's Most Wanted.it was the song called The Final Chapter.

actually Madonna used TWO samples in the Justify My Love hip-hop mix.in the latter part, can you name the the rap group and/or artist that used the SECOND sample heard and the song in which it was used?

i got another category coming soon.

Hahaha redface I'm not sure what that first James Brown sample is! (a first razz)

The second sample is Tom Scott "Sneakin In The Back"... that's the sample I first thought of when you posed your question. Oddly, the same sample was used on Madonna's 1992 song "Waiting". I think the most obvious use of the same sample is "Blue Lines" by Massive Attack.

here'are the answers:
"Take Some,Leave Some" is the first sample used in Justify My Love.

it's James Brown.

now.the second sample isn't the one you mentioned.

"Knucklehead" by Grover Washington,Jr. is the second one she used.

Next category: Raw Fusion(formerly of Digital Underground)

On The"Hoochified Funk" album they had a song that used a sample by Prince.
what's the name of the song?
