Father of Rolling Stone Mick Jagger dies at age 93 at 18:59 on November 11, 2006, EST.
LONDON (AP) - The father of Rolling Stone Mick Jagger died Saturday at age 93, a spokesman for the singer said. Joe Jagger was admitted to a hospital in Kingston, Surrey, outside London, just over a week ago after falling in his home, the spokesman told Britain's Press Association news agency on condition of anonymity. Joe Jagger, who had worked as a schoolteacher, died late Saturday afternoon of pneumonia, he said. Mick Jagger, 63, who has been in the United States on the Stones' "A Bigger Bang" tour, travelled to Britain Friday to see his father and flew back to Las Vegas later the same day. He was to perform there Saturday night, the spokesman said, adding that the show would go ahead as scheduled. The spokesman said the Jagger family would not make any further comment. He gave no details of Joe Jagger's funeral, saying only that it would be private. Mick Jagger's mother, Eva, died in 2000. She and Joe Jagger had two children, Mick and Chris. ©The Canadian Press, 2006 Ahhh geez Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! Without sounding heartless at least he lived to a good, old age unlike Gerald Levert.

Fair statement, IMO. But I'm looking foward for Mick to live pass age 93. He's still active doing music and all. Keith Richards already lived a lot long than he should have!
