So Bowie's re-releasing his classic albums... yet again, early next year, in batches. the first batch appears to go up through Pin-Ups.
honestly, how many fucking times is this going to happen. for some of these, it'll be the 4th CD issue of them in less than 20 years. hopefully they'll be the Ryko bonus track versions (or better). "The world of the heterosexual is a sick and boring life. " -- Edith Massey in Female Trouble

What? I thought they were going to continue with the 30th anniversary editions, but I know they delayed Young Americans indefinitely. Sucky. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! yeah, but not to this extent hehe, yes it is getting... strange; but if "Low" has Some Are (and maybe some other gems on it), I'd go for it.

I can understand the replica sleeve reissues, but why bring these albums out again? The current versions are fine, sound-wise. I'll only buy them again if they all come with extra tracks. And, as with the last reissue campaign in 1999, they're omitting David Live and Stage. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

Those have been reissued in 2005.

Those have been reissued in 2005. DUH! Yes, dear I've got those, but this thread is about Bowie albums being re-re-re-REissued on CD in 2007, and they're omitting the live albums from the initial schedule, just as they did in 1999. You dig? There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

anyone think "Too Dizzy" will make it back on to Never Let Me Down?
Never understood why this one is always missing. I mean, 75% of the album is crap, they're not going to hide the fact be removing one song "The world of the heterosexual is a sick and boring life. " -- Edith Massey in Female Trouble

Are these re-releases worth it...I've been cautious about buying his discs because I want to get those but are the extras that great. For example, with the recent Pet Shop Boys rereleases, the bonus discses are filled with very strong and different tracks and are almost albums on to themsleves. Is that the case with these rerleases. I haven't bought any yet.

"Some Are", "All Saints", "Abdulmajid" and "I Pray, Olé" are the only outtakes released from his Berlin era. But apparently there were 25 songs done for "Lodger" alone, so chances are there are still loads of goodies we've never heard.
