I like the new My Chemical Romance album

I know.

But it's big! And operatic! And the guitars are super catchy!

I suppose the critics agree with me, so there! nana

Get outta that box Moonbeam! lol

They're not a bad band. I like what I've heard of the album so far too and I agree the sound is very 'big'. The singer has a good voice I think

I mean really, is it so bad to admit that some current musicians aren't so bad.
Sure, they're not doing anything 'new', but atleast it sounds refreshed smile
If you will, so will I

Give me My Chemical Romance over Queen any day.

Did I just say that?

They're a cool band. biggrin I still think the only reason why they have a bad rep is because of their popularity, especially among (emo) teenagers. If something is uber-popular and has an annoying demographic to boot, it's all too easy to slap the 'crap' label on them, but I think these guys make solid music.

I can't get with this prog-bubble-gum-punk thing, but I guess it beats James Blunt.

Every time I see one of their videos its like a Muppet Babies version of the Smashing Pumpkins, LOL. The lead singer looks like a Gish-era Billy Corgan.

Wow, that's blasphemy. You need to slap yourself in the head a few times for saying that AND clean your ears out too.

I can see the Billy Corgan parallel too, but he never had a blonde pixie cut.

they do sound like Queen don't they? what's up with that? they're a mixture of Queen and mall punk but their new single is very catchy. is the album depressing since it's about death and cancer.

I didn't understand why he did the raise fist power sign at the end of the SNL performance.

I like the album though, but I haven't really given it my full attention yet.
