Jamiroquai's new song "Radio" is GREAT! Much better than "Runaway". MTV in the Netherlands has the entire 'High Times: The Singles 1992-2006' CD on it's site. The album contains two new songs:the single "Runaway" and "Radio".The latter is definitely the superior track...a cool, midtempo rock track with no trace of the 70s disco sound they've been doing for many years now.Maybe this is the direction they need to move into...more guitars, more rock? Listen to it here:

http://www.mtv.nl/homepag...ticle=3278 I was thinking the same thing! More guitars; yes. Maybe something along the sound of deeper underground which is damn good! As far as people saying there's no diversity with jamiroquai just listen to 'king for a day', little l, depper underground; there's a big difference between them songs. Everything he does sounds like it was written in '74. He's very unoriginal in his sound. And I agree, Radio sounds better; only because its less off the beaten path that he usually takes. Runaway is just another day at the Jamiroquai office.

Have you heard deeper underground, king for a day, space cowboy, virtual insanity, seven days in sunny june? Is Prince's 'sound' orginal?

I didn't say Jay was untalented, I said his sound is unoriginal. Its rehashed DISCO. I understand that's part of his appeal but let's not mince words here. Make no mistake, its DISCO. I love his basslines but that doesn't change what I said. I stand by that. Prince's sound WAS original bck in the day. He hasn't been original in years. Somebody needs to tell him that bouncy 90s beats are dated and he needs to flip his style. Shit sounds CORNY. You would think someone with his abilities could rekindle a little of the foresight he used to have and get up off that "play by numbers" routine. I don't really expect that, though. He's proven everything he has to prove. He's just coasting along. I'm cool with that because I usually don't pay much attention to his newer stuff.

I agree,"Runaway" is a huge disappointment.I'm glad that "Radio" is good.I think Jamiroquai should seriously a consider a rock/funk album,as opposed to disco/funk.

I love 70s disco,so I have no problem with Jay rehashing that sound In fact,it was his disco stuff that got me interested in them.Jay makes music as if the 80s and 90s never happened...lol...he's stuck in 1978.No problem there. However,I think they should switch things up a bit.Add some more guitars, less strings and rock out a bit! "Radio" is nice, and so is "Seven Days In Sunny June".I want more songs like that from them.

I'd like to add "Corner Of The Earth","Black Devil Car" and "Twenty Zero One" to that list.Every album has a few songs that take them in a new direction.
