Dream Street is JJ's best album!

I don't even own all of her albums but i'm aware of what her newer stuff sounds like and I know none of it compares to the jams on Dream Street. "Don't stand another chance", "Fast girls" and the title track are slamming! I even like the sappy slow jam duet.

That "sappy slow jam duet" is with the great Cliff Richard! He's the Elvis of England! At least mention his name, lol.

Seriously 'Dream Street' is a very nostalgic listen for me since I bought it immediately after 'Control', but had the "Don't Stand Another Chance" 7" pre-Control. It reminds me of those long road trips with my parents during the 80s when I use to listen to the cassette on my walkman in the back seat.

i have yes and don't get me wrong it's a tight album however it doesn't have that new wave groove that dream street does. it's a slightly more experimental sound too. jj was rockin it back then.

I don't have the album. I only have the 45s "Don't Stand Another Chance" and "Fast Girls". If the rest of the album is like that, then, yeah it would be her best album because "Don't Stand Another Chance" is definately her best song.

Remember the video to Dream Street? It had all the actors from "Fame" in it. Nia Peeples was looking good razz

Control doesn't appeal to me as much now. I like how Janet's later records are more sophisticated.
