She said it was going to be a dance album last time, which it wasn't and disappointed me.
I've said it before and i'll say it again, she needs to get back with No Doubt and make good music.

Is there an emoiticon for "Eh". This will do
I liked some of the songs on the album. I think time she'll probably go even more overboard with the hip hop, though, which might make it popular but will do nothing if little for me.

I've said it before and i'll say it again, she needs to get back with No Doubt and make good music. Considering the healthy sales of the first ablum and the hit sinlges, I don't see her rushing back to No Doubt, which had it's share of success, but also dissapointment at times. Now when you say a dance album. I guess all think Madonna or more something Euro pop but I think now of days, all the pop stars are leaning more towards hip hop as dance. I read an interesting reivew on the American issue of Pet Shop Boys "PopArt", which made a good point by saying something like that their dance music was based on pop and techno while in America it's mostly based on hip-hop beats (at least now). I beat if you asked around, people would say it was a dance album, although you'd have to then ask "define dance". It wasn't loaded with ballads, and even dance albums have the occassional break like "Cool". To be honest, I have'nt heard the full album in a long while (probably since around the time I bought it). Might have to pick it up again and think about that but it was pretty much dance.

The Real Thing is probably the most bonafide dance song on that collection. Everything else was more pop. LAMB wasn't really what i would consider a consistant dance record. As far as No Doubt is concerned, i just thought her work with them was much better than LAMB. But yes, i'm aware commercial success is what drives Gwen so whatever. I would just like to know if she rode No Doubt's coattail to get into the limelight and live out her own dream of pop stardom.

I had those expectations too but the culture has changed so much, with club bangers nearly always being hip hop numbers, not what most people think of when they think of dacne.

I liked No Doubt's 90s material, but I think in the 00's, Gwen is better solo.
