I play this CD in my car alot,driving around town 
It's a great introduction to her solo career,but it's missing several important songs that could probably appear on a Volume 2 someday: "Clouds" "Fate" "Slow Dancin" with Rick James "Got To Be There" "We've Got The Love" with George Benson "This Is My Night" "It's My Party" "Love You All My Lifetime" "We Can Work It Out" not all of those songs were singles,but I still think they're necessary. | |

I love the new tracks that were added at the end because her voice just raises the hair on your arm and the songs are fonky too. But nothing can top her work with Rufus to me. Everything they did from 1974 to 1978 was solid to me. Ask Rufus and Rufusized are two of my favorite R&B/Funk albums, IMHO and those 2 are also their best albums.

That compilation was so rushed, you know they done her ass wrong with that tracklist(sooooo much was left out  ).
But it was sill a nice introduction into Chaka's wall of sound. End Of A Love Affair is the reason why I love this woman, everything I love about that album boils down into that tribute tune,,,,not to mention the highly personal Love You Still(Which is about her free spirited father). Though, there's MORE to her cataloug than what she let WB mess-choose in there. Like Prince, the deeper stuff in Chaka's music are the FAR more intersting than the released ones. I'm going to have to investigate CK's oeuvre. i've been holding off, don't know why.
