Are we really surprised that Janet dropped , or anyone did in that case. Its the way it goes, debut-fall. Just a news flash, next week the Killers and Evanescence will fall about 50%. Just a side note, the Pussycat Dolls falling to Number 44 is the first time that Album has been out of the Top 40 in 55 weeks since its debut last September, But it may be back because the dolls just lensed their 7th video for the album and the 6th single "Wait a Minute" will be out in two-three weeks.

Well i think we should actually realize that they are doing something that really doesnt happen often, i mean when was the last time someone pulled 5-6 singles off an album, Def Leppard "Hysteria". Whether u like them or not, whatever, but they at least put the time in and worked the record themselves, promoting it 24/7 playing shows, now touring england and france, and actually selling more there than here. As opposed to certain artists who just put out an album, dont tour, just pop up on a talk show here and there, do a video here and there and cause scandals to make their records sell

It's been done since then:

1. Miss You Much
2. Rhythm Nation
3. Escapade
4. Alright
5. Come Back to Me
6. Black Cat
7. Love Will Never Do (Without You)

All seven reached the top 5. "State of the World" probably would've been #8 if it had been released commercially instead of radio only.

Ok just saying its a rare occurence, and the way the system is set up now, its in companys best interests to not have it happen

Sorry i dont, whether if she was a friend or not, think they are good. Im not saying they are the Next Beatles or genuises of music, but honestly what they did on their cd outside of the Pop/Rb stuff, tracks like "Right Now" or "Feelin Good" or "Flirt", at least showed me diversity in a genre that diversity doesnt exist. When i have spoken to Nicole we do discuss their music and trust me all of them are shocked they have gotten to a point where a 6th single is released, people wrote them off, but they did something smart from day one, they didnt rush this cd out, alot of people told them get the cd out right as the single comes out, but Nicole has been through that whole thing with labels and the crap she had to deal with in Edens Crush, but what she did take from that experience was work ethic. Im not gonna list their schedule and what they do in a week, all i can say is thats why they got to 6th single and sales in every market in the world, you cant fake that.

It proves alot i think, especially these days. Sure any label can put out bunch of singles if they want from any artists album. But lets take last years biggest seller MIMI, it had 4 singles here in the US, then they tried "Say Something" and it went nowhere fast, they even had a sixth single ready to go, but they decided against it, and even "Dont Forget about us" which pulled this album back up wasnt on the album to begin with. So its not easy to "jam" 6 singles down radio or peoples throats, cause if it was possible then it would happen with every album.

Comments:

---Evanescence at no.1? Not a fan of the first single, but I guess Im glad for them

---Im glad The Killers debuted well. It is a strong album.

---Justin's doing pretty well. I think this is gonna be a consistant seller. I hear several hits on his album.

---Damn! Janet fell bad! Looks like 'So Excited' isnt doing much for her. Too bad. Janet's a favorite from when I was little, and I liked the album

---Christina rose a spot, I think. It's a good album, so I hope sales pick up.

As opposed to certain artists who just put out an album, dont tour, just pop up on a talk show here and there, do a video here and there and cause scandals to make their records sell

blah blah blah... none of that changes the fact that they suck.

lol they do suck, but I gotta admit, lead singer Nicole is HOT razz She really should dump the other girls (who are useless anyway) and go solo.
