Looks like she listened to my bro with the freerunners! I like so far! This song deserves to be a big hit.

Your brother loves freerunners! lol It's too bad he didn't see the actual tour.Madonna brought a few of these parkour/freerunner guys on tour with her.

She dissed Oz too, so I didn't see the tour. stfu

I think she's scared of Nathan and I as we stole her thunder with our appearance in the Drowned World DVD. shhh

Cool ..its about time ..Ive been waiting for this single/video to drop for months.

Interesting marketing approach here in the states . They are pushing Jump to the Adult Contemporary market first instead of the Dance / Pop route of the previous singles. Its doing quite well so far on AC

already charting in the 20's in Airplay . Funny to see her there amoungst Rod Stewart , Elton John , Josh Gorbon , and Bob Seager.

That's because those that will listen to her are in thier 30's.

Hey hey watch it I'm 24. lol
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

ROL wasn't all THAT successful. I mean, it did pretty well, but it debuted at #5 and didn't move higher than that. and that was with an orchestrated "buy-multiple-copies" campaign by the fans.

Bad Girl which was the single before Rain charted at #35. She was able to turn out around and fair much better with Rain at #14. Any other artist would have called it quits on that album. But she still pulled another single or two depending on the region and Toured. That's why i mentioned Rain and it's amazing video.
[Edited 10/3/06 16:38pm]

still, relatively speaking, Rain was not that big of a success in the overal scheme of her career, even at that point. she'd only had 2 other singles peak outside of the top 10 in the preceding 10 years. it was a success for Erotica, but it was still seen as a disappointment at the time.

i like what i've seen of the video. i love the wig. not crazy about the outfit though. and the freerunners are cool too. i've been with gangstafam from the beginning... they had to be in this video.

Its exactly how i imagined it to be, disappointing. They must have had the brightest lights shining on her because shes squinting throughout. Im afraid it just looks like she thought of it at the last minute, took some dancers outside to jump around abit, shined a lot of bright lights on madonna in a cheap set seomwhere and she danced around for 5 minutes. No thought, no style - just pointless.

It completes four pretty crappy videos from her for this album. Not one of the videos has been deserving of the singles, in truth im really disappointed in them. I think of how great her videos were for Erotica or Ray Of light and it makes me sad sad

Anyho, at least thats the close on this chapter of her career, now we can start specualting again about new music. biggrin

Do young folks (I'm in my mid-30s now, so I don't include myself in that demographic) think Madonna is silly for her "dance queen" antics?

That back cover seems a bit absurd to me.

I don't think she's released a really good video since 'Don't Tell Me', and, quite frankly, her last 'great' video might have been from Ray of Light, or it might have been 'Human Nature' from Bedtime Stories.

'Hung Up' was decent, 'Sorry' just hardcore sucked, and 'Get Together' was alright for not having any effort put into it.

I only saw the one-minute preivew so far, but I've gotta say that, unless 'Like a Prayer' or 'Bad Girl' calibre work pops out of the other 3 minutes, I'm counting this amongst her "lesser video" pile.

It's a shame because I think that 'Jump' was probably the most single worth song on the COADF album, probably even over 'Hung Up'. I think that this one really is worthy of standing alongside 'Express Yourself', 'Don't Tell Me', etc... as a classic Madonna cut. Releasing it as the 4th single with a shoddy video won't do it any favors in the Madonna canon, though.

she is the dance queen. what's absurd about it? it's a still from the video. her foot is up resting on something and she's leaning against some bars. what's absurd about it?

i didn't think ROL was that good, personally. it was alright, but i didn't see what all the hubbub was about. they sped shit up, wow. Don't Tell Me is the last one i really liked a lot. before that, it's probably LDLHA or You'll See or Human Nature.

Madonna's style just misses me more these days. The "Hung Up" video, for instance. Her whole look... If it's hitting me that way (and I see this as someone who has enjoyed her stuff from time to time), I wonder how the teens and 20s folks view it.

it frequently misses for me too. but that could just be because i'm older now and not everything she does has to cater to me and vice versa. i love her, but she's not as important to my life as she once might have been. nobody but my lover is biggrin

i don't think Labels spend as much money on videos like they did in the heyday since MTV and VH1 don't really play videos anymore. Smaller budgets mean less spectacular videos

she is the singer with the most #1 dance hits so she is the Dance Queen.

i like it. than again i'm 25 and a Madonna fan for life so what do i know.

Yeah, to me, she looks like she's doing some "Aeon Flux" role-playing... But, hey... if it works, it works...
