John Mayer's new album: Continuum

Hi, M:N-P people. You don't know me because I never, ever post in this forum, but I just have to say:

JOHN MAYER'S NEW ALBUM IS AWESOME. thumbs up!

He gets better with every album. This one is genius. Every song is good. Including the Axis Bold as Love cover, but honestly, his songwriting is as good as anybody's. His vocal ability continues to grow, and his guitar work has gone from good to great to stellar.

Get it.

I've heard it once through and I think it's pretty good. I think I will buy it. At least he's a real musician.

Yep. "The Heart of Life" is currently my fav, though I think "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" is fucking brilliant. I mean, the title is SUCH a John Mayer lyric.

I kinda wish Prince would listen to it and remember how to write a song. omg

soon as that kat gets a producer.. who will whoop his ass and tell him some of his songs actually suck.. THEN you will see a great album by him

untill then.. let him keep drowning his fans out with washed up grooves and plastic beats..

Waiting on the World to Change, too, is great to me. Kind of an anthem to the attitude that me and my friends seem to have towards politics and whatnot. "It's not that we don't care, we just know that the fight ain't fair." It's this barely-apologetic explanation of why my generation is apathetic, and it feels very honest.

Should be an interesting project based on what I've heard of it so far. He's a really promising artist.

I was in a CD store today and saw a new promo poster. What's with the new sexy boy look? smile I thought he was supposed to be the lovable geek!

Just bought it based solely on "Waiting On The World To Change" and have been pleasantly surprised with the entire cd. Especially feeling "Gravity," "Slow Dancing In A Burning Room," and "Dreaming With A Broken Heart."

I too went to the Sheryl Crow and John Mayer concert about a month a go. Never was a huge fan of his but he puts on an amazing intense stage show and I was immediately hooked when he played some of his new songs live. Vultures , I Dont trust Myself (with loving you) and especially Gravity was amazing live.

a true performer, song writer, and musician
