Cool ..its about time ..Ive been waiting for this single/video to drop for months.
Interesting marketing approach here in the states . They are pushing Jump to the Adult Contemporary market first instead of the Dance / Pop route of the previous singles. Its doing quite well so far on AC http://www.mmr247.com/mmr...format=a1M already charting in the 20's in Airplay . Funny to see her there amoungst Rod Stewart , Elton John , Josh Gorbon , and Bob Seager.

I hope she uses the freerunners in it.

Is this one filmed around Tokyo. ive got a bad vibe about it simply from the fact that she's crammed it into her tour schedule and she'll be sporting that dodgy wig. That said Jonus Akurland directed it so its bound to be pretty good. If im honest, Ive been disappointed with the videos for confessions, not up to her standards IMO.

I just want to hear History in its entirety! "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015

Think about it: Madonna is pushing 50, and while she can still score a hit single every now and then within the current MTV crowd(as Hung Up proved), it gets harder and harder to compete with all the Justin's and Christina's of the world. Basically, her music has gone to the point where the 18-35 year old range will enjoy it, but there's not a guarantee with the teeny bopper market. "Sorry" and "Get Together" were both living proof of this, as "Sorry" barely got airplay on pop stations and "Get Together" was just flat out ignored. "Jump" seems to be getting a decent response, and maybe this way the song will be a hit. Shit, it could even cross over to the MTV crowd. Remember, artists such as Bon Jovi and U2 have had recent success in this market. I always felt Prince should have gone this direction with 3121. Black Sweat then may have had a chance, as well as Fury.

I understand wanting to make a full-fledged dance album, but outside of it getting played in clubs, her major radio presence of the last 10 to 15 years has been on the adult contemporary stations. I'm surprised she and her people didn't realize that before Jump. TUTBMP, I'll Remember, Secret, Take A Bow, You'll See, the Evita stuff, Frozen, Power Of Goodbye, Don't Tell Me.... I kinda agree with you, but she was still getting the occasional massive overplay on pop radio, particularly with "Ray of Light" and "Music". Hell, even "Hung Up" got a respectable amount of airplay on pop radio. I think with Madonna, pop radio takes it single by single. However, given that "Sorry" and "Get Together" were duds on that format, going predominantly AC with "Jump" would be a smart move. I know that COADF sold extremely well with people between 18-35 years of age. I know some of the kiddos bought it as well, but it wasnt a whole lot of them, and Im pretty sure it was because MTV supported "Hung Up" like crazy.

Rain at 14 and POG at 11. I'd have to give props to Rain for doing so well after the Erotica/Sex Controversy and that Bad Girl only hit 35 before it. POG had the success of Frozen and ROL. Pop radio doesn't play pop unless you're under 30 and MTV tends only to support you on the first single (they might give you up to three, but but that's it...these kids have ADD after all). Yeah, stabbing for the AC chart seems like a good move. Hope it works!

I mean, it did pretty well, but it debuted at #5 and didn't move higher than that. and that was with an orchestrated "buy-multiple-copies" campaign by the fans. Hmm...I remember when the song came out. It was all over radio(at least on the station in my city that played pop music at the time), and MTV played that video like it was gonna go out of style. It may not have been her biggest success ever, true. But its sure as hell one of her signature songs. Think about it: Most people remember this song more than "Frozen", and "Frozen" was the single that charted the highest(at no.2).

Bad Girl which was the single before Rain charted at #35. She was able to turn out around and fair much better with Rain at #14. Any other artist would have called it quits on that album. But she still pulled another single or two depending on the region and Toured. That's why i mentioned Rain and it's amazing video.
