Roxy Music aren't in yet, right? They were basically the template for the whole new romantic sound, so, putting aside whether D*2 deserve it or not, by all rights Roxy ought to go in first.

They've certainly contributed. Sure they belong.

Doesn't mean there aren't others who don't deserve to be in more.

But the answer to your question is yes.

The thing is, Roxy Music were hardly that well known in the USA!! If they have denied one of their home grown boys, John Mellencamp, 3 times, due 2 lack of significant and sufficient output, then what chance has Roxy Music and Duran Duran got????? lol lol lol

Unless u are talking about the British Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, which in my opinion is nothing but a joke, then certainly both Roxy Music and Duran Duran certainly belong there!!!! lol lol lol

Roxy Music have more innovation in one measure of one of their songs than John Mellencamp has had in his entire career. But Mellencamp would fit in the "Good Old Boys" club that is the US Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame.

Duran Duran belong in there, as well as many great acts that haven't been inducted yet. I'm baffled it took them so long to induct Black Sabbath.

His induction in 2004 coincided with the Musicology persona, which certainly was one that could vibe with the "Good Old Boys". Prince is totally safe now.
