I'm only familiar with the singles from these albums ("Get Off" and "Hot Numbers").What do the other songs sound like? My favorite Foxy song is "Hot Numbers",does the album include a longer version?

I don't have the albums, I only have a greatest hits compilation. Didn't they only have two albums anyway? lol

I like "Rrrrrrock" and "Head Hunter". There's also a long version of "Hot Number" on the compilation. I don't know if it's a 12 Inch or the album version. It sounds the same just longer. You can be looking for that one.

They did an album in 1976 that went unnoticed. Then in 1978,they came back with the second album 'Get Off' which was huge.In 1979,they released the 'Hot Numbers' album (the title track is my favorite song by them). In 1980,they released a live album that flopped, then came back with one more album in 1981.After that, they disbanded.

Yeah,I'm familiar with their hits compilation.I was gonna get it until I saw that their two big albums--'Get Off' and 'Hot Numbers'--have been re-issued on one CD.I'm praying that a longer version of "Hot Numbers" is included. The regular single version is way too short (barely three minutes).A groove like that needs to go on forever!

I always assumed they had females in the band confuse I guess the female vocals we hear on "Get Off" and "Hot Number" were just background singers?

I remember seeing them back on "American Bandstand". I can't remember if they had their background singers on the stage with them or not. All I remember was the lead singer prancing around slinging his hair before I ever saw Prince on the show the next year prancing around and slinging his hair. lol

The music is the same as the original all the way through the song. It's made longer kind of like Donna Summer's 12 Inches of "I Feel Love" and "Dim All The Lights". They took parts of the intro and breakdowns and either expanded or repeated them in different areas of the song.

Yes, Ish ledesma, the leader, was very Prince-like. They have some decent disco cuts.

Man,this kinda' stuff further deepens my love of teh '70's musically and how bands played and wrote and had flair. That era was about freedom and you can feel it in those old grooves.Love it!

Yeah, they were always a mysterious type of band.I would hear their songs on the radio but I had never seen them,or what they look like.To this day,I have never seen a TV or live performance by them.
