janet. remixes album how do we feel about this one? (especially VC and Cin)
I like "On and On" and the mixes of "Anytime Anyplace" but the rest sounds pretty generic/boring to me, though hearing any Janet songs in a fresh way is always welcomed. I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

Only crap mix on there is Because Of Love (Frankie & David Treat Mix).
Nellee Hooper Mix of Where Are You Now improves on the original.

Well I like some of the other remixes just because I once owned other singles for the album which the remixes first appeared on, so this CD sort of streamlined it for me.
My favorite is "And On And On" which was the b-side for Any Time Any Place, the single which also had the R.Kelly remix.

OK, so it's "Better Days", but "where Are You Now" is my second favorite. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! I also like "And On and On." ATAP is one of R. Kelly's best remixes. I also agree that the original version of "Where Are You Now" is untoppable. That and "If" are my favorites on that album. [Edited 7/11/06 20:38pm] "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I like it better because I prefer its use of background vocals.

Is this an old album or something new?

I like it better too. The remix of "What'll I Do" is pretty hot too.

I don`t have the remix album, but there are several remix singles i would recommend...
The two cd singles of "When i think of you" from 1996 I hear the japanese "Rhythm nation" remix cds are great, i only have "Love will never do" and "Come back to me" (which i personally didn`t like that much, every track sounded just the same...)

We're actually talking about the remixes from the 'Janet.' album, but I have a few of those Japanese 'Rhythm Nation' maxi-singles and they are very comprehensive.

I like that one too. CJ's remix of "Any Time Any Place" is also a fave of mine. I bought the double vinyl LP instead of the CD because it has more songs.

I know, but like i said, i don`t have that album, so i don`t have that much to say about it BUT, speaking of the "Janet" album mixes, do you (or anyone else) know the remixes of "That`s the way love goes"? Are they any good? 1. LP Version 2. CJ R&B 7" Mix 3. CJ R&B 12" Mix 4. CJ Fxte Club Mix 12 5. Macapella 6. CJ Fxte Instrumental

I enjoy it cuz that was one of the singles I had.

1. LP Version 2. CJ R&B 7" Mix 3. CJ R&B 12" Mix 4. CJ Fxte Club Mix 12 5. Macapella 6. CJ Fxte Instrumental The R&B mixes have a groovier drum pattern than the album version. The Club Mix is a house mix. The best one is the "We Aimsta Win" remix which isn't on the single. The chorus is reworked into something totally different. I like that one better than the original.
