For anyone else, it would seem like a gimmick but since every character she plays has a bit of the wacko rock chick in it anyway, the transition seems very natural.

I saw her get up with Motorhead at the Foo Fighters gig the other day and was really annoyed that I missed her performance.. is the album any good?

whether her music is crap or not, i say good for her. she did a few big movies, and now she's taking time off to play rock star for a while. it looks like she's just doing exactly what she wants to do. i think that's awesome.

The debut was brills and the follow-up should be killer, with Dave Grohl producing and playing on several tracks.
