Your list contains some of the big omissions, like NWA, P.E., & Run DMC, also P-Funk who amazingly didn't make it.

Thanks so much for compiling this, it must've been a monster to deal with. Though only a handful of my picks made it, I own 52 of the 60...Yikes! Also, really enjoyed your commentary, swell job.

One of the things I had to fight when compiling my list was putting an album on my list by an artist because someone else happen to vote for it (for example, would my wanting to see Zappa on the list influence me to replace Hot Rats with Roxy & Elsewhere...). Just curious if people might have had that same tendency.

Regardless, there are quite a few repeat offenders on the list, so the really popular artists seemed to have no problem with having their votes 'split'.

Yeah, some people suggested orgnote-ing the lists to make it more honest. I did mine pretty early, so I wasn't influenced, but then I did add Plastic Ono Band instead of The Sun Sessions ( I love Elvis, but Plastic Ono Band meant much more to me in the end) when I saw it elsewhere, and contemplated the same with a couple others.

It would have been easy to give your favorite artist a bump if you knew other people were voting for one specific album--If only Democrats could learn that strategy!

Not that I'd want to hear them anymore, but at the time I liked hearing them on the radio.

I haven't liked anything since, but that album was inspired, if not actually great.

I don't get this packaging point. Read her lyrics. They're great. You can't fake that. She either felt that way when she was writing or she didn't. It was emotional trauma that made her flip her style so drastically, not marketing strategy. btw, if you check out the Unplugged album you'll find she wrote at least 10 great songs after JLP. Sadly, that was about it for Ms Morisette.

Well we are both going to the same Fiona Apple show so....

I liked it, we saw the show at PNC the night before and Trent had tons more energy on Friday. I liked both shows lots though.... I LOVED the set design! It looked fantastic!

I didn't really care for Bauhaus, either night. We missed Peaches on Saturday but saw her on Friday.... I loved her she was great!
