The amazing Arto Lindsay

This is how music should sound, this is Brazilian avant garde pop master, Arto at his best. His version of Erotic City is amazing.

Bjork and many others must have learned from this guy. This is the reason why I love music. His later records make Prince look like a pantywaist, piece of shit...lol Sorry, but this guy is amazing. And, he could give a shit about ever having hits.
All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

Arto is not brasilian, but of American origin. Still he spent a large number years in Brazil...

He is also a brilliant producer. One of his finest production work was with Caetano Veloso (a artist the .org doesn't give a damm! sad )

You should check this album from Caetano called "Circuladô"

Arto also works with Marisa Monte (another amazing artist the .org doesn't give a damm! sad )

I also loved Arto's work with the group The Ambitious Lovers-- they released two albums in the late eighties (with keyboardist Peter Scherer, singer DK Dyson and Bassist Melvin Gibbs) called Greed and Lust that were a great combination of Funk, Brazilian Pop, Jazz and Avant Garde. If you really like Funked-up dissonace, find them Cds.....
