New MJ album in the works

DJ Whoo Kid was recently met up with MJ in Bahrain. According to him, MJ has expressed interest in working with Kanye West and has allready laid down some vocals with John Legend. But it's 50 Cent who Whoo Kid really want MJ to work with. He's apparently given MJ some demos of new tracks by 50 Cent and said a MJ/50 collab (or what he calls "The Jackson 2") is the #1 priority of his at the moment. He also said that when he spoke to MJ, he was surprised about how MJ spoke. He said MJ said he was just "chillin'" in Bahrain at the moment. He also said that he asked MJ about Neverland and MJ apparently replied, "they can have that shit". LaToya also spoke to Access Hollywood and said MJ never wants to move back to Neverland and ever since the verdict it has been his plan to close and eventually sell Neverland, but it's a long process and will take a while.

I wish Mike would totally change his image. For starters, lay off the androgyny.. Wear a fade or something. Please abolish the jheri curl look! And if he's going to do music, write some tunes MIKE. You wrote Billie Jean, Beat It, I know you have it in you...

Umm, how about he concentrate on finishing his last project (the Katrina single) before starting a new major project?! Or has that single been given up for dead? Remember, it was going to be out by the end of February! confused

BTW, what is the source for this? Sounds like nothing but hearsay to me. Any links?

Why did he keep all those people on payroll (then not pay them) if he was getting rid of Neverland? Actually, getting rid of the zoo critters would have been the place to start, they require a lot of upkeep. This doesn't look like an orderly shutdown of the place, it's more like what happens when there's no management to speak of and money is very tight.

But I think that chilling part is true though. lol

Here is what I think the biggest problem is with Michael and 50 Cent working together:

Michael takes FORRRRREEEEVER working on albums. (Be it because he is lazy or because he is a perfectionist, either way there is usually 4 or 5 years between albums.) Take "Invincible" for example. It was scheduled to come out in 1999 and it didn't get released till the fall of 2001. Anyways, the problem is, suppose Michael worked with 50 Cent today Sunday, March 26, 2006 and even recorded the entire album, mixed it and produced it today also. It would not get released until 2008 or 2009. Knowing the history of rappers, I seriously doubt a novelity person like 50 Cent will be relevent or important in 2008 or 2009. I mean seriously, does anyone care about Ja Rule anymore? He was the biggest rapper on the planet a few years ago.

Beyond that another problem is 50 Cent is lame-o along with Eminem. razz

50 had his first hit in 1998, he's way more bigger and talented then Ja Rule
U can name a few rappers like Ja who rose and fell down quick but what about Luda, Busta, LL Cool J, Nas, Jay-Z, Eminem, Biggie, Pac, Twista, Mystikal, Snoop, ... all concidered the best from the US for a looong time... some of them are not around anymore either cool and still they rule
Just admit 50 is on top of his game although u might not like him or rap in general.

Michael should've done the justin timberlake thang in 2001, it would be like the quincy jones years all over again, wich was basicly the same formula
he should work with Neptunes, Dr Dre, Timbaland, Prince, R Kelly, Just Blaze, G Unit, Kanye West, Justin, Mary J, ...

I guess now it's too late but let's hope not
Do the hiphop-soul-funk-gospel thang, MJ!!

Sure, it would be great if Mikey worked with these people. But not many people want to be associated with Jacko now. Guilty or not, his life has been one PR disaster after another. Who wants to work with him now? R. Kelly? Gary Glitter? Pete Townsend? Definitely not Prince. That Lolita song is enough to dispel that idea...

If he survived 93, give him a few years and it will be like the HIStory era all over again. Michael just needs to tour and he'll be at least bigger than Aerosmith or Madonna these days, which clearly will say something. Give the King of Pop time - he will be back and better than you expect.

Quite frankly I wasn't impressed with the History album at all(with the exception of SIM I thought the album was crap) but I was impressed how he managed to pull himself together and have a successful comeback by most people's standards.

But being accused of child abuse twice is enough to ruin anyone's career for good, even if you have been around since you were 10 yrs old, and have the biggest selling album ever and was found Not guilty in the court of law. Your name is tarnished forever and MJ overall image doesn't help either.

The fact of the matter is most people want to remember MJ has that sweet-looking kid from the J5. Or that handsome brotha from OTW or the man who dazzled the world at the Motown 25th. I think anything from Bad onwards many people think "freak" or worse..

While HIStory (Disc 2) and BOTDF is Michael's best work IMO, I agree that Michael pulled out all the stops with regard to pulling himself together to promote HIStory. He gave his best interview IMO (Prime Time Live 95) and tried to get himself out there, and be "human" (for lack of a better word.)

I think Michael has a really tough role to play as far as hollywood goes. Michael is fucked either way. When people say they want him to give interviews and be more down to earth, he tries and people fault him for when he tries to explain his lifestyle. However, when he is all reclusive and trying to stay out of the light, people bitch and say, "Michael is too private." I'm so sick of hearing about what Michael "should" do. The man has been doing this fame thing since he was a kid, and I'm sure he knows what he is doing to a certain extent, or if not, he knows how to put himself around the right people. Michael will be back. Just you guys wait and see.

did he really survive 93??? He had 2 songs that did well, the HIS-tory album didn't sell that well and everything afterwards just wasn't and hasn't been the same. He'll probably pull a "mariah", get some big name producers/rappers to reserect her "dead-ass" career and call it a "comeback" which is the biggest crock of shit since she didn't go anywhere.

Agreed.Several years ago,Mike recorded some tracks with producer Irv Gotti of Murder,Inc.That sound was "hot" back then, which is the only reason why Michael would even work with him.But now that the Murder Inc. sound is over,I bet that Michael will discard those songs....lol...that's the problem with working with "flavor-of-the-month" producers and artists.Their sound gets stale really quick.Much of the 'Invincible' tracks were recorded in the late 90s,and by the time the album was finally released in late 2001,some songs sounded dated.

yes rappers have a life of about 3-4yrs!!

But i dont think rap will be mainstream for another 3yrs

luda busta llcool j and the other rappers only sell like 1mil records
which isnt that big

jay-z eninem 50 r big and sell quite a bit

Its funny how this dj talked to mj about enuem considering he is always mockin him in the videos

well i dont think u will see a mj album for another 3-5yrs!!
plus he isnt even signed with any record labels so it a long time coming

why does everyone keep sayin "history" didnt do well etc, he had a top five hit with every single, in europe "earth song" "you are not alone" "stranger in moscow" and "blood on the dancefloor" all reached no 1.

The album sold almost 20million copies, which works out at almost 40million single cds.

NO ALBUM HAS SOLD ANYWHERE NEAR THIS IN THIS ENTIRE DECADE!
