No Limit Soldiers: Dead or in Jail

I was looking up some info on No Limit Records, Master P's hot label from the mid-1990's until' the early 2000's.

I use to love No Limit back in the day. A sad thing is half of these guys from the label are dead or in jail.

Jail

Mystikal
C-Murder
Mac
Steady Mobb'n

R.I.P.

Soulja Slim
Big Ed

I think their are more, but don't remember the exact names.

I've been trying
to get my hands on
some of those albums from back then
remember when they used to
come in those colorful cases...

if anybody is interested
in trading... I have
lots of music from the Third Coast

I found some stuff on them at allmusic.com. My cousins used to listen to screw and all the No Limit, Cash Money stuff.

there was a time
when I kept up with current rap/hip hop
but those days are in the past
I don't know whats going on with music these days
the hip hop seems to be getting better
I mean we did get Be from Common last year
which was refreshing

but I remember that about No Limit also
every release date they would have
like 2-3 albums released...
they had artists out the ass...
I can remember picking up a
Gambino Brothers CD... and I was gonna
purchase just because
but I thought twice... I hadn't heard
any of their shit before...
fuck No Limit... I had a damn limit... LOL

me & my younger brother been
on the hunt for Mystikal's
Unpredictable album...

that used to knock hard in the car!

And the Mercedes album cover....

This one ...

You can occasionly find No Limit in tores if you look for them. I saw Soulja Slim, Prime Suspects, Lil Italy, Steady Mobb'n, Gambino Family in SoundWaves, Circiut City.

Master P and No Limit would promote the hell out of their artist. If a Snoop CD dropped, their would be about 20 album covers saying coming soon. About 5 came soon, the other half came later, and about 3 were never released.
