The "Oh So Obvious" Best of 2005 Thread Yes, it is time to discuss your top ten favorite albums of 2005. Now, these lists are kinda silly, but I'm just seeing this as an excuse for everyone to talk about the stuff they truly loved this past year. So dish 'em up, people. Tell us what music really rocked your world in 2005!
My own personal list: 1. Playing the Angel- Depeche Mode 2. The Beekeeper- Tori Amos 3. Confessions on a Dance Floor- Madonna 4. In Your Honor- Foo Fighters 5. The Forgotten Arm- Aimee Mann 6. Aerial- Kate Bush 7. Out of Exile- Audioslave 8. Takk- Sigur Ros 9. X & Y- Coldplay 10. The Future Embrace- Billy Corgan Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Honorable Mention:
Everybody Loves A Happy Ending- Tears For Fears: This album was released in the US in 2004, and it was my favorite of that year, but it wasn't released in Europe until early 2005. Add to the fact that the European edition had two beautiful bonus tracks (that somehow made a perfect album even better), and the mix was far superior to the US release, this gem deserves to at least be acknowledged on the 2005 list Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. Not yet. I thought for sure I was getting it for Christmas, so I didn't pick it up. My birthday is in a couple of weeks, so I guess I gotta hold out that long! Yeah but JediMaster asked us for the music that rocked our world in 2005. Rundgren rocked my world with that one jam, and it was made nearly three decades ago! Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Meanwhile, Tori's 'Beekeeper' is nowhere to be found on my list--even if I were to extend it to a top 20. Yeah, I was really disappointed with that album, too. Maybe she'll deliver next time around.
