According to Pitchfork, Morrissey's next album Ringleader of the Tormentors is due March 20th in the UK and presumably March 21st in the US. Producer Tony Visconti has said that he is "two thirds of the way through one of the best albums I've ever worked on, with...Morrissey at his best."

i'm interested in hearing this. i absolutely love his last album "You Are The Quarry". "America Is Not The World" = brilliant track!!! though i've yet to get it. but honestly after the Smiths, "Viva Hate" was the only solo project i was excited about and thouroughly enjoyed. everything after that with the exception of a song or two was bland and soul lacking IMO.

Hey guys, if you haven't already got it, then get "VAUXHALL AND I" it is one of his best albums...
and it includes one of his greatest tracks- "NOW MY HEART IS FULL"
I went to see him perform material live from this album in 1994 and managed to shake the great man's hand during the chorus of "NMHIS"-WOW! what a night that was.

I'm a total newbie to Morrissey and caught his Manchester concert on VH1 a few weeks back. I can see why the English worship him as a god. He's great.

And first listened to 'Quarry' 2 days ago - love the romantic minor chords in every single song. 'I Have Forgiven Jesus' wasn't as funny as I thought it'd be. Quite enjoyable overall.
