U2 - TBA (early Summer 2006)

As much as I'd love to see this out next summer, I think that the safest bet for a new U2 album would be closer to spring/fall '07. Vertigo '05 has just been extended around teh globe, and unless they are inspired to release Zooropa Mach II (which I would fully support woot!), I doubt we're going to see a new album from them until they have time to get in teh studio and work out their new stuff.
I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

D'Angelo better announce his new stuff soon because I love Brown Sugar and Voodoo but damn, 2 albums in 10 years? What's he doing all the time?

And Axl Rose still wants to release that album? Will he be at a MTV awards show again?

why do people complain if an artist wants to take their time and due it right? sade and kate bush fans seem content when they take decades off...

would you rather have quality or something like prince? where he releases a song at the same rate he takes a dump?

Gosh when did my music taste become so lame? Why can't some real artists put out albums?

Where are Michael and Prince? WTF!!!

You forgot the rumored "Matchbox Twenty" greatest hits album.

Gosh...2005 was like a five star year for releases. So it figures that 2006 would pale compared to it.

That's a UK tracklisting.... The Dolly album is one that I'm sure is out now. Sadly, most of those probably won't come out here. Could be an interest year.

The more I look at it....looks like a lot of wishful thinking and things that appeared last year. How many years does Paula Abdual's TBA get mentioned?

The U.S. release of Goldfrapp's 'Supernature' is scheduled for March. Maybe it will get a dualdisc like it did in the U.K.

He'll be waiting there for a while. I'm not dying for it but am interested. Not only has Paula appeared on this list before but weren't we supposed to see Annie's best of this year....not another Eurtythmetics collection, which is fine, tough.

As good as Voodoo is, it shouldn't take 5 years for normally working artists.
And BTW, I'm just enjoying his stuff, so me "complaining" just means that I'd like to have more of it.
And with Prince you damn well know that it's not a matter of "taking time". He records fast and it's either a masterpiece or not. Then he moves on.

you act like those are the only two options an artist has..prince doesnt have to leave masterpieces up to "chance". he could nuture and cultivate an album until its a masterpiece. just like kate bush did (see anxiety's comment) or sade (who on average takes seven years per album).
