appreciation 4 3+3....ernie & marvin isley chris jasper

of all the bands throughout the many genres of music, one of the ones who doesn't get a lot of love from the so-called experts is rhythm section of the fabulous isley brothers.... ernie, marvin, and chris jasper. :applause: ernies guitar work still floors me evry not he hits.... marvin is on my list of influences next 2 louis johnson, nathan east, james "knuck" alexander, donald "duck" dunn and stanley clarke one of the greatest bassists around, and chris is a magician on the keys like george duke, edgar winter, billy beck, stevie wonder, terrence trent d'arby and chuckii booker...

They get lots of love here, especially Ernie! I agree that they're not appreciated the way they should be, but Music: Non-Prince loves them! biggrin

Rip, tell'em to not even get me started about Ernie! But yeah, good pick.

Absolutely! However, his impact as a great musician is sooo overlooked in this country! The good news is that while I was in Europe a few years back, music fans and local musicians knew of him and hold him up with the all-time greats!
