Yeah, BET definitely showed videos for "Let Me Be The One", "Can't Wait Another Minute" and "If I Say Yes". I believe there was also one for "Love Take Over".

What happened to the other 2 Stars? tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 Doris and Delroy at the time weren't interestd or "ready" to make another album. so the remaining 3 Lorraine, Deniece, and Stedman went on to do the album "Eclipse". though Doris had a little participation in it. they toured, mainly on the Here and Now tour. (a revival of popular 80's acts for the most part). Stedman from what i last heard is also persuing a solo career. now there's also word that all 5 are heading into the studio to do another album. Deniece did a duet with Matt Goss of the group BROs some years back. some of there album covers: Deniece ...what a voice!!

There was one of those cheesy docs about musical families on the BBC a cuple of years ago and Stedman was interviewed. He's so funny, he said "I am neither a male or a female..." then they cut away and we all just went Later they cut back and he finished the sentence "... I am a product of both my mother and my father"
What a joker. | |

I remember reading in a issue of Rolling Stone (Eddie Murphy cover story - 1989) that the singer (Deniece) was dating Eddie. He said they used to talk for long hours on the phone and started dating pretty heavily. He said he was ready to make the next move and Five Star's management didn't like it. They interupted their relationship and she was cut off from him. Supposedly he was really bummed out from that.

Poor man's Jacksons if you ask me. I can't believe some people here thought they were better than New Edition. Five Star's music is so dated now. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

"cant wait another minute" will be in my head for a while now The production is tighter (or funkier) then ne's early stuff. Both are cheesy though

The only songs I've heard by them were "All Fall Down", "Hide And Seek",and "Let Me Be The One". BET had those videos in heavy rotation back in the day. I remember hearing a story about Eddie Murphy having a crush on one of the girls, But her Daddy wasn't having it.

Yeah, the Eddie Murphy connection was already posted earlier. New Edition also recorded "Hide And Seek". Who did the song originally?
