Listening right now to Grown Up Girls... I think it should have been included on Be Yourself Tonight.

It sounds great....

I would have included the single edits of There Must be an Angel and Sisters are Doin it for Themselves, and then added Grown Up Girls right after Ball and Chain.

I also would have put Precious in place of My My Baby's Gonna Cry, moved that song to How Long's place, and put How Long on a B-Side.

But I guess Dave and Annie didn't ask my opinion. shame on them!! smile

And if you do and find yourself as madly in love with Touch as either Fam, Moonbeam or me, then frop either of us a line for the Touch remix album, which has grrrreat 80's remixes by Jellybean and François Kevorkian...

I really wish they would've included that whole thing on the "Touch" remaster instead of a few of the unessential things on there.

I hope a 2-disc set of rarities comes out. "Step on the Beast" and "Invisible Hands" demand attention, as do many remixes and other missing B-sides/rarities.

good question hon... I'll be interested to see the answers!

the box set is cheaper. at least, here in Holland it is.

if i buy the boxset it costs me € 99,90

so that's € 12,50 per album.

if i buy the albums individually, they're
gonna cost me € 15,90 each.

so the boxset saves you € 27,-

apart from that, i don't see much reason
to buy the boxset since it's only a box.
no special extra songs or anything that
are not on the individual remastered cds

i suggest buying all the albums though.
it is hard to advice one single album for
someone who is just getting into them imo
because i can only recommend them all as
they all have great songs and astounding
moments of music on them.

Hey Istenszek - sorry, somehow I missed this yesterday. hug

Thanks for the advice!

Just one other thing: do you get the same artwork, etc., in the boxset that you'd get with the albums? I'd really like to buy them all individually but I don't think I could afford it this late in the month. I've seern the box-set,though, and it was cheaper. nod

As for those interested in where to begin, I can attest to the fact that each of the 8 albums remastered is full of wonderful surprises. I'm a mega-fan, for sure, but there isn't a clunker in the bunch. If you are cautious, I would suggest starting with Sweet Dreams and Touch and then moving on to Be Yourself Tonight. If you are still hooked, get the rest!

GangstaFam said:

I can agree with that. But if you're sure that you're going to get them all (and I would recommend that), I would take them in chunks. And definitely in chronological order. I'd go with their dark, synthy, weird stuff first like "In the Garden", "Sweet Dreams" and "Touch". If you can find their "1984" soundtrack, get that too. Then I'd go for their soul/rock period and get "Be Yourself Tonight" and "Revenge". Then finish up with their final 3. "Savage" kinda stands alone stylistically. But "We Too Are One" and "Peace" go very well with Annie's solo stuff. Hope that helps.

Thanks guys!
