I hate that muthafucka with a passion. He represents everything I despise.

He represents everything that when I was growing up ... elders said to reject ... and yet I grow up a law-abiding citizen and he gets celebrated and rich?

What is wrong with the people with support his music and the music of other criminal thugs who brag about crime and being outlaws?

For him to be rich and honest, moral people to slave for pennies is a travesty. I hope his movie bombs. He doesn't deserve the attention of humanity.

GangstaFam

For some reason, I always think of this song when I think of 50 Cent.

Tricky - For Real

Yeah
You watch too many films
Too many films for real
Some contracts you take too seriously
Your record deal
A record deal pays bills
Feeds the family
Your profile is too big
How you gonna be a quiet family
Too many films are for real
You watch too many films
Films are for real

Don't get me wrong
I know you got guns
And you're not scared to use 'em
But is there money bein' made 'round these guns
Or lives to be losin'

You watch too many films
Films for real
You watch too many films
Too many films for real

Some of these people have to live their life
For real
I don't have to
I got a record deal
For real
You heard
I chill
I smoke herb

Now how about these sexy singers
Sex gods
Two pack girls in a turn
You're fantastic, you supersperm
yeah, I'm a player hater
I hate when players can't take their turn
And when the record company drops me
That's when I learn

It's not for real
It's just passing time
It's not real
All I do is rhyme

It's not real
It's just passing time
All I do, all I do is rhyme

You heard you heard

"You go Romeo"
Girls say you look tall on the video
And the color girl sing

Give me money
Give me money
Give me money
Give me money

And no one sings the blues
Everyone sings the greens
Some will say keep your eye on the prize
How you lose a dream

Who am I to say I don't need cash
In this hundred yard dash
I moved a while ago
And passed through New York
I'll be back in a minute
It's my turn to talk

For real
You heard
For real
You heard

I can grab a mic and wreck it
Make it copasetic
I train my mic
Restrain my mic

You watch too many movies
For real

You watch too many films
Films are for real

You watch too many films
Too many films are for real

You watch too many films
For real

Now stop and think for a sec about the demographic that is buying his records in the largest numbers.

I also agree with this but I also think its the lack of balance in hip hop today.

I remember watching Rap city or Yo Mtv Raps can could see Public Enemy followed by Kid n Play then Eric b and Rakim then Big daddy, X clan and even Dj jazzy jeff and the fresh prince....etc....

today..there's no variety. Its all about violence, ignorance, and materialism...that's it.

These ppl don't even know they are a bunch of sambos. sad

Yeah, but that imbalance in hip-hop is just a symptom of the disease, you know what I mean? It's hard to think of what we can do to change things, other than not buying the damn CD's. It's frustrating, since mainstream hip-hop used to be so good.

I don't think that the point of view that 50 and others like him need to be silenced completely but just not be made more relevant than others and thats what has happened.

I was telling my daughter that when I was high school and then college, the whole college vibe was pumping through hip hop especially about attending HBCUs (black colleges). There was this vibe that education was cool and needed, etc.

Now...well...its different. neutral

Disagree.

This type of cencorship and supression should never be supported.

People clearly want 50 Cent in 'their face' otherwise they would not have purchased MILLIONS of his Albums.

Ultimately it is the PUBLIC who decide what is heard and at the moment, they want to see and hear 50 Cent.

I'm not sure why they are strictly targeting 50 either. There are plenty of other targets.

It's a boycott, not censorship. The author states that Fitty is free to sell his trash, but that you don't have to buy it - and shouldn't. So there you are.

Why don't they place billboards for his movie in affluent neighborhoods instead, since that's who seems to be buying up his stuff the most.

I don't understand your problem with this article. Are you Fitty's distribution rep or something? lol All the dude is sayin' is people should reject Fitty's glorification of thug culture by not supporting him financially. I'm sure the dude doesn't have the same problem with Britney Spears.

50 Cent Disagrees With Kanye West

Rap feuds aren't usually about differing opinions on President Bush. However, that appears to be the case between 50 Cent and Kanye West.

50 says he disagrees with West's infamous statement that "George Bush doesn't care about black people," proclaimed during a September telethon for Hurricane Katrina victims.

"I think people responded to it the best way they can," 50 told ContactMusic.com. "What Kanye West was saying, I don't know where that came from."

Instead, 50 said, "The New Orleans disaster was meant to happen. It was an act of God."

It wouldn't be the first time 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, made comments that weren't flattering of West. In a September interview with MTV, 50 — while otherwise complimentary of the popular "Gold Digger" rapper — said: "I feel like Kanye West is successful because of me."

"After 50 Cent, (hip-hop fans) was looking for something non-confrontational, and they went after first thing that came along. That was Kanye West, and his record took off."

West's second album, "Late Registration," has remained near the top of the charts since debuting Aug. 30.

50 stars in the upcoming film "Get Rich or Die Tryin," a biopic of the rapper that is set to open Nov. 9.
