Let me tell you something..It was Raining, Pouring back in 1981 and we Stayed in the Rain Outside and it was COLD. Our Clothes were Soaked. We went home and Ordered a PIZZa afterward. It was So Much Fun. I have the Bandana and the tourbook and posters. I taped all his t.v. appearances. I Love Adam..Dirk Wears White Sox.... Cartrouble is So GREAT... Bought the 7" singles at 99 RECORDS on ST MARKS PLACE....Where ya Got MANIC PANIC Hair DYE.... And Great Punk Shoes and we got those NATASHA Outfits and My Boyfriend had these Bondage Pants and we had the half black/half white and red tops and he had the pants. Of Course ST Mark's Place is MY Favorite Place as Trash and Other places just Rule. That Whole area is The HEARTBEAT. I have My Yellow Motorcycle jacket from TRASH from SCHOTT. I Love the AREA. Damn ,we went to the Ritz man and peppermint Lounge and Bottom Line and BEST VEGAN and VeGETARIAN RESTAURANT EVER....DOJO! PERFECT FOOD...

I have great nostalgic feelings for Adam & the Ants. My first concert--1981 or so--I was only 8 or 9. And I still count them among my favorites, even if they're not quite up there with the greatest.

I recently got the remaster of Dirk Wears White Sox and was amazed how it held up after 25 years or so. It's the most straightforward of his records. Just good music and interesting lyrics.

Kings of the Wild Frontier is probably my favorite, bold in its style of music & fashion and its risk of the ridiculous. Somehow he pulled that one off.

Unfortunately fashion & image seems to have taken over at that point. While I like a lot of his later songs from Prince Charming, Friend or Foe, Strip, the image became more important than the music. By the time you get to Manners & Physique, he's like a complete joke (no thanks to Andre Cymone). It's sad because he could've been one of the greats.

I heard Wonderful was good (I do like that song).

I hope he can get healthy & maybe come back again.

Big Ant fan here. Back in Jr. High, I used to wear the hell out of "Stand and Deliver", "Goody Two Shoes" and "Ant Music". The video to "Goody Two Shoes" was a big influence on P's look during "1999". Check out the two women in that video, they definately had that Vanity 6 vibe.

He's right about Off the Wall. As nuts as I think he is right now, I'd still listen to that record. He does acknowledge Mike's "unique" personal behavior, but I agree with him. Artists personal lives should be seperate from their work to some extent. Otherwise we might not have any great artists!

saw adam and the ants on the kings of the wild frontier album tour !! think it was tiffany's glasgow (now the garage). they were awsome with the 2 drummers thing going on !!!

I thought he was just "Adam Ant" not "Adam and the Ants"??
