I missed it a few years ago. Totally missed the "La Vida Loca" craze. Everybody was digging Mr. Martin and I had my head up my ass. Now that he is back with a new album, I am leading the charge. Ricky is back and better than ever!

I was on it the first time. I was very impressed by his '99 Grammy performance. And I enjoyed the album that followed well enough for about 2 weeks.



But this new song..... jesus christ. wtf, honestly.

I think you're in for a disappointment.

Aside from the fact that I think he is the worst "artist" in history, I have heard very, very bad things about this album...from fans...

Actually i think Enrique Iglesias is even worse

The Vida is even more Loca in 05!

I didn't care for the song until I caught him performing it on Oprah. The album is not as bad as I've heard but I prefer his Spanish music and pre 99 Grammy music.

I think most of u hate Ricky because he got SO overexposed during the "loca" period. He's a really great dancer, He has a good voice, and he has alot of stage presence.

The first (English) album is a good pop disc, and though I avoided Sound Loaded, I really like the duet with Christina Aguilera that was released as a single.

Ive heard good things about the album, at least from critics. And yes, I am going to buy it. I dont know, maybe it's because Im hispanic. Even if it doesnt sell in English markets, it doesnt matter. He's still VERY popular amongst Latinos and other countries.

Yeah it's like when he got popular in the U.S. the bashing began when he's been quite successful long before 99 and after in non-U.S. markets. He did what many knew he could do during the Grammys and he got a lot of exposure and then it was all about pleasing the US pop market but you know it's only a matter of time before you get knocked off your thrown and kicked every time you try to get up.

That being said, I'm not crazy about Life but there are a few good songs on it.
