is on par with Trompe le Monde, would you be happy? It's certainly their worst studio album, but it's a good one nonetheless, it loses steam at the end, but I would be happy with something on that level from the next record.

wow, i liked bossanova and i liked trompe le monde. my least favorite pixies album is most people's favorite - surfer rosa - and even that album has some of my favorite pixies songs on it. so if their next album is anything like ANY of their previous studio albums, i'll be happy.

Surfer Rosa is def my fave, but I thought most folks' was Doolittle. It certainly wins with the critics.

If a new album would be half as good as trompe le monde it would still kick the ass out of most rock bands today.
