This is my favorite Eurythmics album. Is that weird? Nah- it's the most Bowie-esque. I will say that it is the most oddball in their career though, and doesn't represent the full "Eurythmics sound" that made them famous, although the seeds are there. Still, top notch. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

I'm not gonna get excited until I know. I've been anticipating these all along, but am disappointed with those old tracklists. With those b-sides? I think that's cool!

This is my favorite Eurythmics album. Is that weird? Not at all. I think that with artists obscure albums...it's usually the most dedicated fan that "gets" the stuff most regular fans don't. It just happens to be their first album. Christian Zombie Vampires

If Annie had made "Lodger" I imagine it would sound something like "In the Garden". Love it.

call me greedy, but I want the Tourists, too.
Tell me: am I the only one who thinks "One Step Nearer The Edge" is strong enough to stand up w/ many of Eurythmics classic songs?

I'd like to condense all of the Annie sung Tourists tracks onto one disc. I think I'll be able to absorb it better that way.

1984 was issued on RCA, so licensing shouldn't be a problem. In an Ice Magazine article way back when the reissues were first being talked about, there was a quote that 1984 would come later, that they wanted to get the main catelogue albums out. But that was a couple years ago, so they should have had time to do 1984 by now. maybe they just don't think it will do anything sales-wise, or maybe they no longer like it. after all, sexcrime didn't make the "ultimate collection"

Definitely their "Low".

I only have their Greatest Hits - and that's pure pop perfection.
As someone unfamiliar with most of their work, which one is generally regarded their best?

I had in my hands used CDs of Touch and Sweet Dreams (I have them on tape) a few weeks back. I was so close to buying them, because I was getting damn impatient for these remasters. Glad I held off...now I just have another damn 2 months to wait.

That's nothing compared to the relative ice age we've been waiting so far.

I agree with your recommendations except for this one. I think it trumps anything they did post-1984. I agree. As a whole, it's much better. I mean, I really dig "Savage," but I have to admit to ffwd through some of it, especially the grating "Do You Want to Break Up." "Peace" is a great disc.

I'm pissed off because just a month ago I bought all 6 cds that I previously only had on cassette. So, I for one am much more excited about the "Savage" dvd.
