I think you're referring to Donna Summer's TV special,which aired on ABC in January 1980.It featured videos for "Bad Girls","Sunset People" and few other songs.But it mostly consisted of live performances.

Yeah,much of it was filmed in a studio.The video for "Sunset People" featured Donna playing herself and a cab driver.The video for "Bad Girls" showed Donna getting arrested for prostitution.She asks the cop "Are you taking me to the jailhouse?" and he replies "No...I'm taking you to MY house"....lol...the videos were silly and cheesy.But there were also some live performances too that were taped exclusively for this special.Donna opens the show singing "Dim All The Lights".Here's a pic from the "Bad Girls" video...
