Their official web site hasn't really been updated, nor have some of the big fan sites. THe only thing I hear is that Stephan Jenkins is still with Vanessa Carlton. Any fans out there - have you heard anything?

i know that they've been collaborating with kimya dawson, who was a member of the moldy peaches. i think she plays shows with them sometimes, and she recorded some recent work at their studio. vanessa carlton was on her last album.

just a little trivia, cuz i'm a kimya fan.

loved their second album...didnt care much for their last one....

I haven't heard anything, either. I never liked them much before I saw them live when they opened for the Goo Goo Dolls. They were great live, really energetic and a little bit more "rocky" than their singles.

DEEP INSIDE OF YOU is my favorite 3EB song...I was disappointed by the lack of radio play it got when it became a single.

Well here's the lowdown...

They have playing random shows this year mostly on the East Coast at colleges and private parties. I saw them perform last month at the Gay Pride Festival, in SF, and they peformed a couple of new songs as well as a few fan favorites.

Afterwards, I chatted with everybody in the band except Stephan on what's been happening. Basically they are restless and pissed cuz they have the music finished, and have a potential album, but Stephan is holding up the process. I should have asked him directly when I had the chance, but talking to him is a hit or miss thing anyway. For awhile, the delay was due to spending alot of time focusing on Vanessa Carlton's new album, which he produced or co-produced. Now what the issue is at this moment? Who knows if it's lack of inspiration to write or what the deal is. Brad, Arion, and Tony have spent lots of studio time laying down the music, and they are pretty much done, and have nothing else to do but wait on him. So until Stephan does his part and gives the stamp of approval, I wouldn't hold out for the new album to come out this year. They still need to sign to another record deal since they aren't with Elektra anymore.

The fans are restless yet alot of them don't want to own up to the fact that their beloved lead singer is the reason for the delay.

The lead singer was terrible live. I heard him a few times live and he sucked.
