I heard she was going to release a greatest hits collection. Could be interesting.

I heard in an interview from last summer on CNN that she was jumping right back into the studio to do a new album. That'd be good. New Annie album and Eurythmics remasters would make me very happy.

Too long. I know that they'll magically materialize in my hands someday. pout

Annie Lennox with or without The Eurythmics is a true diva. Love her!

Finally got to see her when she opened for Sting. Returned to the stage for a few duets and I wanted Sting to leave and her to stay.
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

i could definitely see an Annie solo compilation at this point. Something like this.

For Annie solo, given that she only has 3 full albums I think a mixed up compilation would work better than a chronological one...

1. No More I Love You's
2. Walking on Broken Glass
3. A Thousand Beautiful Things
4. Precious
5. Waiting in Vain
6. Money Can't Buy It
7. A Whiter Shade of Pale
8. Wonderful
9. Train in Vain
10. Why
11. Pavement Cracks
12. Little Bird
13. Honestly
14. Ev'ry Time I Say Goodbye
15. Step By Step
16. Love Song For a Vampire
17. Something So Right
18. Into the West

whattya think?

It goes without saying that her voice is wonderful, but I'll forever have to dock her a couple of marks for her version of the Blue Nile's brilliant "The Downtown Lights." I thought that wasn't so much a cover as an act of violence towards one of my favourite songs.

Well, maybe I'm being a little harsh because I love the original soooo much: I actually had great expectations for her version because I do think that she's a quality artist, but it just did not work for me...

Me too. It's still probably my favorite from that album. And it made sense since she'd been working with The Blue Nile around that time.

God knows I love her, was just singing along to "I Need a Man" this afternoon, but her solo stuff has been a little to Adult Contemporary for my taste. Wish she'd loosen up a bit, and not be so New Wave Julie Andrews wink

I mean, has anyone seen Cloudbuster demand list for performances? Mariah Carey's list is childplay compared.

yeah... i know. i do like that song, but... it just seemed out of place. it really sounds nothing like any of her other solo work. Maybe tack it on at the end as a hidden bonus track smile

What does everyone think of the Annie solo version of Angel? Better than the Eurythmics version? I think it's fantastic

I really with Dave & Annie would get it together and put those remasters out.
