OFF THE WALL (the single) It's my favorite song of Michael Jackson...
Back in 1979, It was the 4th single from Off the wall album, a top ten hit and reached the Gold status... But this is the most unknown Michael Jackson's hit... No video was made, and most important, I've NEVER seen this song on any MJ's compilations... Very strange...

It's on The Ultimate Collection..
But yes it's on of his best songs ever, especially live on The Jacksons Live album. It kinda overshadowed by Don't Stop.. and Rock With You back then. I wish he did more songs with Rod Temperton..

I love that song. I like it easily more than "Rock with You" or "She's Out of My Life" and on par with "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough". Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

I like the maniacal laughter at the beginning.
"Off the Wall" is a great song, but the most underrated track (as well as one of MJ's all-time best dance songs) is "Get On the Floor." Michael never stopped!

I love this song! The chorus is just amazing...
"Tonight....you gotta leave that 9 to 5 up on the shelf and just enjoy yourself Groove...let the madness in the music get to you life ain't so bad at all when you live it Off The Wall" I've never been to a Michael Jackson concert, but I'm thinking this would be the perfect song for him to open with.

Yeah, the first two singles were so successful that they pretty much overshadowed the other songs.

I agree with y'all - this is (was) Michael Jackson at his best.
soulful, passionate, even exhuberent vocals, great music, on top of a more-or-less "disco" beat, which made the whole song that much more IRRESISTABLE. this song in particular - & the album in general - is the best he's ever done, hands down, bar none. I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS.. | |

Ah yeah. The first 7" single I ever had bought for me when I was 6 years old.
What a song. When I DJ I always play this song & it always surprises everybody to hear it. The floor is always packed by the end of the track too. I think this is MJ's best song ever. The Funk, the whole funk & nothin' but the funk, ya dig?!
