New Garbage Album...anyone got it. Whad'ya think? Just wondering. The last one was SUCH a disappointment...mostly because of the wait...and the eventual output that came with it. Then they remixed the disk (Sure sign of a not so good album)

Just wanna know what you all thought. I actually like some of the tunes from the last album. Haven't picked up the new one yet. I will though, regardless of the reviews.

Just wanna know what you all thought. I have the new album. There are some good songs on it and I like it more initially than I did 'beautifulgarbage', but I still really haven't bonded with it. It needs a few more listens before I can give it an accurate review. I did see them live here in NY last week. It was a really great show. They sounded excellent and there were extra visual elements that gave the overall performance a little oomph.

The first time I saw Garbage live, Shirley incorporated the Banshees' "Drop Dead/Celebration" into the lyrics of "Vow".

It's aiight. Not bad, but nothing that rocked my world either. The album sounded a bit to polished for my taste, but I do have to agree that they are great live.

I have. More than one actually. Well, that's certainly a start then, isn't it?

It's pretty good, but not that great. After the first five songs or so, it gets a little stale. Not as much variety in this album as the previous three.
And my personal opinion is that "beautifulgarbage" was their masterpiece and will probably never be bested. So many great, catchy songs that encompassed rock, dance, and a couple of the best ballads ever....

LOL, I'm not saying RS is infallible, I'm saying I have the album and their review got it right. What, you don't believe me? I AM infallible! The world would be a better place if everyone listened to me. Now go out and buy every Geri Halliwell CD you can find! Trust me.

It's not bad. It sounds a bit "safe" though, mostly standard rock songs.
I LOVED Beautiful Garbage. It's a great album in its own right, with some catchy ballads and energetic rock tracks. But for people who were more into the dark, edgy feel of their previous albums, I could see where it dissapointed them.
