Deborah Harry Something about this womans voice
Damn I think she's about sixty now, but a glass of wine or so... Just listned to Sunday Girl....she's the only celebrity that can break me like that Now I'm older than movies, Now I'm wiser than dreams, And I know who's there

Incidentally, I saw her sitting in a booth with Chris Stein and some others at Don Hill's a few years back. Hasn't aged well.

I think that the Blondie reunion was too late, they should have done a come back in the late 80s like the B52s imo

Debbie Harry is one of the alltime great band front person. She had maximum attitude, a voice that suited her music style, oodles of sex appeal, and not an ounce of care for what others thought about her. I'm a bigger fan of her work with Blondie than I am of her solo work.
When I first started listening to her solo work, I was excited to hear KooKoo, the album she cut with Chic. Chic's sound was cutting edge, and the same can easily be said of Blondie's early work. Then I heard the album...very disappointing. It wasn't a good mix of their sounds. I've liked a few of her solo tunes (Sweet and Low was a lot of fun, and there were a few good numbers on her 1993 release Debravation), but on the whole it seemed like she lost as much interest in her own potential outside of Blondie as the public did.

Funny, I like Koo Koo quite a bit, even if her work with Blondie is superior for the most part. In any case, Deborah Harry is the essence of cool. She's also the most beautiful blonde celebrity I've ever seen. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

I don't own it; I borrowed it from a friend and listened to it through a few times, but that was at least five years ago.

But is anything on there as fun as Sweet and Low? I have fond memories of her performing that on Club MTV back in the day.

A few weeks ago I watched a reunion show that was available on demand. It was kind of strange, because there was host and the band/host took phone/audience requests between songs, which were prerehearsed (I'm sure some of you have seen it. I think it was a VH1 thing.). The band did sound good, however, including Debbie. Clem Burke's drumming was particularly tight. I've always liked that guy. a psychotic is someone who just figured out what's going on

i had the unparrelleled pleasure of seeing ms. harry's underwear in '88
(not such a long story...here goes...went to the escape from new york tour: deborah harry tom tom club ramones and some o' me mates and i brought her a dozen roses, and slipped up to the front row to deliver same. As she crouched to get them...well, let's just say Thank you, Fate and Fortune [Edited 4/11/05 7:40am] [Edited 4/11/05 7:40am] posture your mandables towards the sky
