Troop. Great boy band.......

This group may not of had the voices of New edition, but they had more street songs. Plus their dancing was amazing!!!

Remember "spread my wings" and "all i do is think of you"? Plus "thats my attitude"?

Also "I'm not soupped", despite the "my perogative" style lyrics, is a good rnb song.

They had a debut album out earlier then "attitude" which was self titled.

It had the hits "marmacita" and "my heart", both again with great videos with killer dancing.

1992's "deeper" was a letdown though, with only the summery "only when I laugh" being a realyl good track.

Seriously, their choreography was very slick. Even Usher picked "spread my wings" on a countdown he did years ago. That video has awsome dancing.....

nod I definitely remember this group. Spread my wings was the jam back in 1990 and I do remember seeing the video on BET's Video Soul just like it was yesterday.

You're right, Troop did not have the voices of New Edition...and for that, they should consider themselves blessed. Nothing against the NE posse -- they're cool with me, but virtuosic singers they're not (outside of Johnny, but he's a newer recruit).

Attitude was a great album. I heard "Spread My Wings" on a radio station last week; that track brings back memories...

Yup..I remember when Troop came out with Mamicita..I was maybe 9...they were so big among black girls...their version of NKOTB..they reminded me more of Ready for the world than NE..maybe it was the Gheri curl..LOL!

but my daddy swears that the Jackson 5 originally did ALL I DO IS THINK OF YOU...I have never heard anyone ever associate that song with the Jackson 5.....does anyone know?

Hey, I guess I can learn something new every day cause I certainly didn't know that song was a remake. Now I must go hear the original.
