I pounded out a really elaborate response to dancerella in early December about this, but I feel that Tasty's sound is too commercial and her first two efforts are much more fantastical (and didn't sound like sh*t that's on your radio dial). She sort of lost that "rebel-girl" vibe that I got from her first two works. What I liked about Wanderland was that it was so leftfield (her debut was even moreso), but Wanderland was the best mixture between tripped-out (Kaleidoscope) and radio-friendly (Tasty).

I wish I could find that old post. It was much more descriptive.

Her live shows during 2000-2001 were the s**t. I have the videos and audio files to prove it. Sadly, she never brought her shows to the U.S. I am so jealous that Europeans got to have full headliner shows, while us folks here in the States were stuck with 2 and 3 song "special guest" spots. I had to go to a N*E*R*D show to finally see her live. She performed 3 tracks "Junkie," "Popular Thug" and "Caught Out There."

When she toured Europe back in the "GET F#@KED UP!" years, she covered Steppenwolf's "Born To Be Wild," The Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams," Lionel Richie's "Hello" and Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" (she closed every set with that song). Plus, she performed a great rock rendition of Ol' D.B.'s "Got Your Money" with "Mars."

There was talks of her co-headlining a U.S. tour with Tasty-contributor Raphael Saadiq, but that never came to fruition.
