New Mariah Song - Living it up http://echoes.langleywd.c...thatcd.mp3
Enjoy! It's vintage Mariah! A tight ass beat from Jermaine and she sounds great! Yes, she's back! U can thank me later, enjoy it while it's available.

There are already about 10 threads where everyone discusses the magnitude of this track's suckitude. With that said, welcome to #11!
And how the hell is this "vintage" Mariah?

And how the hell is this "vintage" Mariah? I love it! I love Mariah the way you guys like everything that Janet puts out. With that said, it's vintage Mariah from a Pop/hip hop stand point like - Fantasy and Honey. That's what I meant. It's the best hip hop/R&b song from her in a while. I guess vintage Mariah would be a slow song, right? Well, her last album had vintage Mariah on it but people didn't buy it 4 some reason. Holla back!

Oh, I thought you meant vintage as in "good songs" or "singing without the whisper voice." This ain't no Fantasy or Honey. Actually, I think that's why people didn't buy the last record. With the exception of "Clown" and "Subtle Invitation", everything was a 15-th generation photocopy of all that came before. It all sounded so watered-down. But Charmbracelet still went platinum! And how the hell is this "vintage" Mariah? Took the words right outta my mouff. Mariah threads are getting just as silly and senseless as MJ threads. I was used to be huge on Mariah too but something is lacking. I most definitely agree about the annoying ass whisper tone she uses. I was hopeful enough to keep buying her crap hoping for something good again but I gave up with Charmbracelet. Close but no cigar - I want my money back!

This song has been getting a huge response at radio, it's had a 5million impression in 3 days, it's not released to radio until Jan 25, but I have to agree with goat she does sound good, what do u mean she's whispering on this track? She sounds hot, the track is just not her strongest.I think she wanted a song that would get played on radio to promote her album. anyway Mariah can still circles around the Britneys, Janets and Jlo's of the world, which at the end of the day is what matters the most [Edited 1/7/05 19:38pm]

Looks like Mariah takes another step backwards, this sounds like something Ciara would record. love is a fate resigned memories mar my mind love it is a fate resigned Over futile odds and laughed at by the Gods and now the final frame Love is a losing game

Mariah hip-hop has never been the same since 'Breakdown' and 'The Roof'. Everything else has been a weak xerox of her past glories. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

The track is hot. And yes, this is a return to form following the poor vocals on Charmbracelet.

" Not to be a 'hater' or nuthin (lawd know I got all her albums except Daydream). But for at least 3 songs I have heard from the album so far, it sounds like Charmbracelet 2. I hope the REST of the songs are better. Did LA Reid say that it was going to be a better album for her? Or was that Randy Jackson (from American Idol)? She still hasnt topped Glitter to me. I just listened to this, and while it has a great beat to it, lyrically, it's just as lame as some of the other crap on the radio these days, including Destiny's Child's "Soldier". I've been practically in love with Mariah since the beginning of her career, but she is capable of so much more than this. If you listen to her lyrics from her early albums, she sounds so mature and womanly, but the stuff she has been doing lately makes her sould like a teenager. She's about to turn 35! She needs to reflect that in her music. She can keep her beats and stuff; just write something more meaningful than club hopping and drinking Cristal.

It may be a better album, they kept pushing back the release dates. It was reported that La Redi scrapped the album because he didn't like the material & told her she needed to re-record. love is a fate resigned memories mar my mind love it is a fate resigned Over futile odds and laughed at by the Gods and now the final frame Love is a losing game

"Vintage Mariah" is when she was known for her VOICE (VISION OF LOVE, MAKE IT HAPPEN, ONE SWEET DAY, HERO, etc.). The Mariah you be talkin' bout is SKANKY-HO MARIAH. I feel that she can do so much but is letting that slip away...but hey, these are songs we arent supposed 2 hear yet. I remember being greatly disappointed after hearing Charmbracelet because I heard the bootlegs of "Through The Rain" and "Subtle Invitation". These boots (Tonight & Its Like That) are in my opinion. Well hopefully there will be at least 5 good songs on the album. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
